Gateway CDC is supporting artist activities at the Gateway Farmers' Market, including live painting and music. We are excited to showcase artists in the Gateway Arts District at this popular community venue!

Come and enjoy live painting with Keiona Clark and musical performance by Tamara Wellons!

Keiona Clark is an artist, muralist, advocate, entrepreneur, and a curator based in the DC metro area. Her passion is to align with similar minds and to network to build a creative force by bringing awareness, opportunity and culture to public facilities, fellow artists and the community. She is also a (stage 3B) breast cancer survivor who was inspired to create shortly after her chemo infusions. Surviving cancer helped her decide that her life would be centered on her passion. Keiona has painted many murals throughout the DMV and is also responsible for brokering others. Non-traditional application of paints and technique make her art original, inspirational, and unique.

Tamara Wellons is a vocalist, healer, and arts-in-health innovator whose work bridges the worlds of music, wellness, and cultural storytelling. With a voice rooted in soul and spirit, Tamara brings transformative sound experiences to hospitals, wellness centers, and sacred community spaces. She is the creator of Creative Rx, a signature platform that uses music and reflection as tools for healing and connection. From Carnegie Hall’s Lullaby Project to Holy Cross Health and beyond, Tamara’s work centers the power of creativity to restore, uplift, and liberate.
